Visit the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut on the Open Day of the Federal Government!

The Paul-Ehrlich-Institut (PEI) will present itself from 17 to 18 August 2019 at the Federal Ministry of Health (Bundesgesundheitsministerium, BMG) on the Open Day of the Federal Government in Berlin. This year, our focus will be on medicines derived from blood.

"Blood products – medicines of a special kind" is the guiding theme with which the PEI will present itself to the visitors at the Open Day of the Federal Government. We will provide information on the variety of medicines made from blood and explain how the PEI assesses and monitors blood products for quality, safety and efficacy. At our booth we will show the different types of blood cells under the microscope, what modern blood products look like, and we will take a look at innovative therapies for the treatment of hemophilia.
