Vaccination is an effective measure to protect against infectious diseases and thus keep all population groups in good health. Gaps in vaccination coverage can lead to an outbreak of vaccine-preventable diseases. Promptly detecting, investigating, and transparently communicating on real and perceived vaccine risks vaccines is important in order to bolster the public perception of vaccination. Essential to these tasks is the reception of as many reports as possible on suspected cases of vaccination complications. Evaluations were conducted of suspected case reports regarding all vaccines authorised and marketed in Germany, with the exception of COVID-19 vaccines.
