The Paul-Ehrlich-Institut's new building will be built on the site of the former Kronenhof riding arena in an area known as the Kronenhof industrial estate – zone North. The city of Langen is responsible for the development plan procedure and published the draft development plan for the Kronenhof-North industrial estate on 23 September 2024. The development plan sets out the urban planning framework for the new building, but it does not specify the building's exact form. The draft development plan and additional documents – such as various expert reports and reports on species protection and the environment – are available on the city of Langen's website and at the City Hall. Residents have until 24 October 2024, to find out more about the development plan, view the documents, and submit their written suggestions and comments regarding the plan to the Langen City Planning Office.
