Vocational Training

Every year, motivated and talented apprentices complete a vocational training at the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut (PEI). In addition to receiving a high-quality vocational training, they gain exciting insights into the many and varied tasks of a medicines agency that operates at an international level, no matter whether their training is in animal care, in the lab, in IT or in office management. A vocational training course always starts in summer and usually takes three or three and a half years. The remuneration during the vocational training is based on the collective bargaining agreement of the federal government for trainees (Tarifvertrag des öffentlichen Dienstes für Auszubildende, TVAöD). The Offenbach Chamber of Industry and Commerce has honoured the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut as a top company for dual vocational training 2024.
